Lotion on a Strip

 Lotion on a Strip

Once upon a time, when I had an itchy purple rash on my ankles, it was keeping me awake at night.  My doctor sent me to a dermatologist who prescribed me a cream to stop the itching.  It did not stop the itching.  It increased the spread of the itchy purple spots to bloody purple blotches the size of silver dollars all over my body!

Thanks for nothing!

Banana Peel

Back to the drawing board, I did some research and found out that rubbing the inside of a banana peel over the itchy places would stop the itching.  It did!

I thought, “What is this, another one of The World’s Best Kept Secrets?”

I told my dermatologists but they weren’t interested.  Oh, well.

I noticed that when I cut out sugar, that also helped.  And, using the little portable far infrared sauna, that I had previously used, got rid of the toxicity causing the purple blotches.

Coconut Oil

I also noticed that organic, unfiltered coconut oil, when rubbed into the skin also, calmed itching.  It only takes a minute to soak in so you are not all oily or greasy and you won’t get it all over your sheets.  The medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil have anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-parasitic and anti-fungal properties.  They kill disease-causing bacteria and leave our friendly bacteria alone,

“Polynesian women who eat their traditional coconut based diet rarely, if ever, get yeast infections”,  p. 77

It also protects against sun damage, “The Polynesians, who traditionally wear very little clothing, have for generations been exposed to the hot blistering sun, yet have beautiful healthy skin without blemishes and without cancer.  The reason is they eat coconuts and use the oil on their bodies as a lotion.”   – The Coconut Oil Miracle, Bruce Fife., N.D.,  p. 108

Apply a small amount at a time so the skin does not become too saturated and then not absorb it all.  Simply apply it more often.

Just a little tip now that Spring has Sprung.

Protandim

Since I have been using  Protandim to eliminate toxicity and am no longer itchy, I don’t seem to need the banana peel anymore but it sure came in handy for a while there. And I am glad I discovered its beautifying properties.

It’s no wonder that Tahitian and Hawaiian women have such beautiful skin.  Try rubbing the inside of a banana peel over one knee and compare to the other knee when you use this lotion on a strip.  It will be smooth and soft as velvet.
